About offset targets

If you shoot closer than your zero distance, the bullet hasn't risen to your line of sight yet, so a correct zero prints low at the near distance. This tool marks where your group should land. Two things to know before you rely on it:

Your mistakes get multiplied. Zeroing at 7 yards for a 25-yard zero magnifies every measurement error by about 3.6×. A quarter-inch misread becomes nearly an inch at 25.
The offset assumes a load. Different velocity, bullet weight or optic height moves the number. Pick the closest profile, then confirm at the real distance when you can.

Offset targets are a workaround for short ranges, not a replacement for confirming your zero at the distance you chose. The course covers the whole process, including the confirmation step.
